North American Debut Tour · February 28–March 10, 2028. Pianist Saleem Ashkar, violinist Karen Gomyo, and cellist Eckart Runge make their first North American tour as a trio — three artists with major international careers and a shared commitment to chamber music at its most intimate, dramatic, and alive. The ensemble brings together strikingly complementary worlds: Ashkar's searching clarity and acclaimed Beethoven artistry; Gomyo's commanding, deeply communicative violinism; and Runge's extraordinary chamber-music legacy as founding cellist of the Artemis Quartet, whose sound he helped shape over three decades. Their debut programs center on Beethoven's mysterious and luminous "Ghost" Trio, paired with the taut intensity of Shostakovich and either the folk-colored imagination of Dvořák's "Dumky" Trio or the brooding Romantic sweep of Brahms's C minor Trio.
