Jessie Montgomery’s Rhapsodies for Rachel Barton Pine: Lead Commissioner and Partners Needed.

A new suite for Rachel Barton Pine, built from Jessie Montgomery’s three solo violin Rhapsodies. The newest premiered this September as the compulsory work of the Indianapolis International Violin Competition. Michi Wiancko is orchestrating the suite for chamber orchestra (single winds and brass, percussion, and strings), so it fits programs of every size. It is Jessie’s only orchestral commission currently in the market, and the consortium is forming now. Premieres: spring 2028–2028-29.
