Gabriela Ortiz’s Fractalis with Jeffrey Kahane: One Orchestra Needed for the US Premiere.

Gabriela Ortiz is one of today’s most celebrated composers, yet her 24-minute piano concerto Fractalis, premiered in France in 2021, has never been performed in the United States. Jeffrey Kahane, for whom Kevin Puts, Andrew Norman, and Gabriel Kahane have written concertos, is ready to give its first American performance. Scored for a classical-sized orchestra, it brings a genuine first to your season. Now booking: 2027-28 & 2028-29.
