Shanghai Quartet | Marcos Balter Commission with Anthony Roth Costanzo

The Shanghai Quartet and countertenor Anthony Roth Costanzo join forces in a new song cycle from Marcos Balter. Anthony has appeared with many of the world’s major opera houses and was lauded as the lead of the Met’s production of Ahknaten which he reprised in spring 2022 after an incredible first run. Commissioned by Chamber Music America and The Phillips Collection, this new song cycle is inspired by works of art at The Phillips. The program will include a quartet and songs with Anthony and the Shanghai.
