About MKI Artists
MKI Artists is one of the top classical music management agencies, representing a dynamic roster of world-class artists and ensembles. We’re a small, tight-knit team spread across the country, working fully remotely with a high level of trust, care, and accountability. We believe in thoughtful collaboration, strategic thinking, and the power of live music to move, inspire, and impact.

We offer strong support, mentorship, and a caring work culture — but this role is best suited for someone who thrives with independence. Success here means taking initiative, managing your own time and priorities, and remaining self-sufficient within a team environment. If that sounds energizing, not intimidating, you’ll likely love it here.

MKI is growing and we’re looking for someone who is results oriented and excited by the idea of growth. Things move quickly here—there’s a high volume of communication, a fast pace, and new opportunities emerging all the time. The right person will not only keep up but will thrive with the momentum.

Position Summary
We’re looking for a Booking Representative to manage our relationships and secure engagements across the West Coast. This is an outward-facing role that involves daily communication with presenters and decision-makers, strategic booking, and staying deeply engaged with the classical music field. It’s a great fit for someone who’s proactive, motivated, emotionally intelligent, and energized by connecting people and making things happen. This is a sales-oriented role where data and sales results matter.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with West Coast presenters, programmers, and decision-makers.

  • Secure bookings for MKI's full roster of artists, meeting (and ideally exceeding) quarterly goals.

  • Work closely with the Director of Booking and Artist Management to develop and execute strategic booking plans.

  • Represent MKI at booking conferences, artist performances, and other industry events—virtually and in person.

  • Stay current on trends and developments in the classical music field to help shape booking strategy and artist positioning.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in performing arts booking, artist representation, or related sales/customer-facing roles.

  • Passion and knowledge of the classical music field and repertoire.

  • Strong communication skills and high emotional intelligence—you know how to listen, tailor your message, and build lasting relationships.

  • A self-starter with a strong work ethic—you take initiative, follow through, and stay on top of details.

  • Organized and strategic—able to juggle multiple projects, prioritize effectively, and think ahead.

  • Comfortable with technology—you’re quick to learn new tools (CRM systems, Notion, Slack, etc.) and embrace digital communication.

  • Thrives in a remote environment—you like working independently but know when and how to connect with your team.

  • Comfort in a fast-paced environment—you can manage a high volume of communication and shifting priorities with clarity and calm.

  • Excited by growth—you’re motivated by the idea of building something, not just maintaining it.

Work Environment & Travel

  • This is a fully remote role. MKI’s team is distributed across the U.S., with a shared commitment to proactive communication and collaborative culture.

  • Travel is required for artist performances, presenter meetings, regional/national conferences, and our annual company retreat.

Compensation & Benefits
The salary range for this position is $55,000–$75,000, commensurate with experience. The final offer will reflect your experience, qualifications, and potential to contribute meaningfully to MKI’s overall booking goals.

MKI’s benefits package includes Paid Time Off (PTO), sick leave, and access to an Individual Coverage Health Reimbursement Arrangement (ICHRA) for eligible employees, which provides flexibility to select and receive reimbursement for qualified health insurance premiums and expenses. MKI offers a 401(k) plan with a matching contribution to support retirement savings.
