Andrei Ioniță Releases Debut Album

Our spectacular young cellist Andrei Ioniță has just released his debut album on Orchids Classics. It's a gorgeously performed and immaculately recorded wide-ranging selection of music by Bach, Brett Dean, Kodaly, and Henryson. When you have a moment, we encourage you to listen to the album here:
And you can watch the album video above.

Andrei won the grand prize at the Tchaikovsky Competition in 2015, and Askonas Holt represents him in Europe. Highlights for 18-19 include: Montreal/Nagano (Vivaldi), BBC Philharmonic with John Storgårds (Dvořák), National Symphony Orchestra of Romania U.S. Tour with Cristian Măcelaru (Dvořák), Yomiuri Nippon with Sylvain Cambreling (Rococo), and Aspen with Larry Rachleff (Brahms Double).

We also encourage you to listen to Andrei’s recent performance of the Dvořák Cello Concerto with John Storgårds and the BBC Philharmonic that was broadcast by the BBC and is still available to be streamed here:
