The exquisite Pacifica Quartet performed with the inimitable guitarist Sharon Isbin during the group’s tour of Florida last week. The program, which offered an homage to Isbin’s childhood in Italy, featured works for guitar, quartet, and quintet.

The collaboration continues this week as the five some is set to record a selection of these works together for Cedille Records.
Over the past two decades, the Pacifica Quartet has achieved international recognition for its virtuosity, exuberant performance style, and often-daring repertory choices. In 2017 these Grammy winners were appointed to lead the Center for Advanced Quartet Studies at the Aspen Music Festival.
